The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be held under a hybrid hosting model. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that fairness should be the priority in cricket governance. “Cricket should win, that’s most important, but with respect for all. We are going to do what’s best for cricket,” Naqvi said following the meeting.
Impact on Future ICC Tournaments
The hybrid model will also apply to future ICC events. For the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, Pakistan’s matches will be held in Sri Lanka. Similarly, during the 2025 Women’s World Cup, Pakistan’s matches will be played at a neutral venue.
