The UAE’s National Lottery Will Have Its Maiden Draw In December: Next month, the first draw of the UAE’s first officially sanctioned national lottery will take place, with a Dh100 million prize pool.
Tickets cost Dh50 and are available on the UAE Lottery website. On Saturday, December 14, at 8:30 p.m., the lottery operator will broadcast the inaugural live draw on its YouTube account. Draws will take place every two weeks.
Players must choose six numbers from a possible 31 in the “Day” area of the online draw card and one number from 12 in the “Month” section of the Lucky Day lottery draw, formatted like a calendar. To play, players must register on the lottery’s official website.
The highest reward is up for grabs for lottery players who select all seven numbers, while Dh1 million is awarded to those who select all six “Day” numbers. The range of cash rewards is Dh100 to Dh100 million.
In addition to creating a number of scratch cards with prizes ranging from Dh1 million to Dh50,000, Game LLC was chosen in July to be the first licensed lottery operator in the United Arab Emirates.
They were chosen by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority of the United Arab Emirates, which called the decision a “pivotal” step for the Emirates at the time and stated it was a significant step towards the establishment of a well-regulated commercial gaming industry in the nation.
In September of last year, the GCGRA was founded. It is run by veterans of the gaming industry and is the federal agency in charge of the nation’s commercial gaming operations.
After a significant upheaval of gaming activities, the live draw was announced. In January, certain UAE prize draw providers were forced to halt operations.
According to one of the operators at the time, the delay was brought about by a “industry-wide mandate” that aligned with the authorities’ newly established responsibility to establish a strictly controlled gaming environment in the nation.
Prior to this, more and more people have entered prize drawings in the hopes of winning substantial sums of money. The GCGRA has worked to create a regulatory framework to safeguard stakeholders and consumers since its founding in September.
It was emphasised that it is unlawful to engage in, carry out, or facilitate commercial gaming operations in the United Arab Emirates without the GCGRA’s authority. Violators risk harsh punishment.
The GCGRA is the sole organisation in the United Arab Emirates with the authority to control, authorise, and oversee commercial gaming operations and facilities, according to its website. These consist of lottery, online gambling, sports betting, and integrated gaming resorts or facilities on land.
