UAE NATIONAL DAY: During Dubai’s four-day National Day weekend, four public beaches will be set aside solely for families.
These beaches—Jumeirah Beach 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, and Umm Suqeim 2—have been declared family-only from November 30 to December 3.
The UAE National Day , known as Eid Al Etihad this year, will be celebrated with a four-day weekend for both public and private sector workers.
“Dedicating public beaches in Dubai to families during the Eid Al Etihad festivities aims to regulate the number of visitors to the beaches, which witness a large influx during public holidays and festivals,” stated Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, director of the Public Beaches and Waterways Department at the Dubai Municipality. Additionally, it aims to give families the chance to spend their vacations enjoying Dubai’s beaches.
A 135-person “integrated safety and rescue team” has been sent out by the Dubai Municipality. A 60-person field supervisory team has also been tasked with managing beach activities during the holiday season.
The civic organization will keep a careful eye on all beach operations in coordination with its partners.
